Our Mission

Four years ago, when I first cleaned some old bowling alley wood to make a countertop, I was struck by the beauty of the antique Heart Pine that lay beneath layers of dirt and polyurethane. It was love at first sight.

As our company name suggests, I thought I would be content solely making counter surfaces, but it was not long after starting the company that I began designing and building furniture that would further showcase the rich character of this rare wood.

As with many companies, the mission of CounterEvolution was born in those early days, and it remains the same today: To design, build and sell furniture that realizes the highest potential of reclaimed materials.

I believe staying true to this mission is the best way to insure our customers' satisfaction and take pride in the work we do.
